Very nice rides! Do you guys have bigger bikes too or do you do everything in Kelowna on these?

Our main man Cole Swanson is on board for year #3, killing the races and the slope comps. And this year we've built up a great little grassroots team to represent on and around the North Shore, including Caleb Holonko, Andrew Teit, and Matteo Signorelli.

Haha nice thanks for the interest. This particular bike and the other one you're stoked on are both already sold. This one is a large and the other is XL. Most of the custom Bandit 29ers this spring are going with the base build kit which is $3600 and people are adding a Reverb and our awesome Hope/Stan's/Schwalbe wheelset upgrade option. Then as you can see some people go for the Chromag goodies too. Lots of upgrade options on these custom builds it's best to email me either through this site or at info@northshorebikeshop.com for specific quote requests. Weights. I still have yet to weigh a 29er. Hardtails, Bandits, the Banshee Prime, we just don't weigh them. To steal an amazing quote from Seb Kemp, geometry and weights are the facts of bikes, to ride the bikes is the TRUTH.

Fox 36 180mm. You can tell the 180s because the lowers extend down below the axle like that.

The TR250 climbs decently well and jumps tighter more techy jumps easier

No I wouldn't say that. To me, the Circus, Argyle RC/318, and the DJ1 are similar in quality of reliability, weight, and all that...

If the pivots aren't overtorqued the durability is just fine. There have been a couple production problems in 2011 but those won't be a factor going forwards. Bushing frames require maintenance. Greasing and not overtorqueing to be specific. If you're willing/able to do that, this is a rocket of an AM frame that you will love.

Do you see the Shimano Alfine chain-tensioner in the place of the rear derailleur? That takes up chain growth.

On the DJ I use a 2:1 gear (32/16). I've run 28/13 before which was fun for pedalling from point A to point B but in the skate parks, at the dirt jumps, and on trails the gear was too high. I recommend start with a 2:1 ratio and go from there.

Thanks Niko

Ride On!

It's good anywhere. I've been riding my dirt-jumper more places than any other bike really. It climbs well in single speed and cruises down the hill nice. It's quiet and simple and a fun way to enjoy the whole mountain.

Then in Whistler and other bike parks this will destroy. Single-speed is clean and functional. But like I said above this is one of 6 TR250s in stock and the only ss. It's the first bike bigger than a Banshee Rampant the shop's ever done ss. It's definitely not for everyone but for those who want it, we do it!

Ride On!

We have 6 TR250s currently built on the floor. 1 of the 6 is SS. I think it's safe to say I'm not intending this bike for everyone...
